Alcohol - Australian Dept of Health and Ageing (Population Health Divison)
  the latest information and recommended guidelines for the treatment of certain health problems and the care of patients. Speficically information is of a clinical nature and will be useful to medical professionals while some has been designed for the patient.
Alcohol and other Drugs Council of Australia
The Alcohol and other Drugs Council of Australia (ADCA) is the peak, national, non-government organisation representing the interests of the Australian alcohol and other drugs sector, providing a national voice for people working to reduce the harm caused by alcohol and other drugs
Australian Drug Information Network (ADIN)
  provides a central point of access to Internet-based alcohol and drug information provided by prominent organisations in Australia and internationally.
Australian National Council on Drugs 
  ANCD is the principal advisory body to Government on drug policy and plays a critical role in ensuring the voice of the community is heard in relation to drug related policies and strategies. .
National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA)

National Drug Strategy
  The common aim from the outset was "to minimise the harmful effects of drug use in Australian society". Drugs affect virtually every Australian family. Each year the use of alcohol, tobacco and illicit drugs accounts for more than one in six deaths, more than 175 000 hospitalisations and enormous economic costs to the health care system, law enforcement and private industry in Australia
National Drug & Alcohol Research Centre (NDARC) 
funded by the Commonwealth Government as part of the National Drug Strategy (formerly, the National Campaign Against Drug Abuse). NDARC is situated on the University of New South Wales Randwick campus in the eastern suburbs of Sydney.
Orientation Manual to the 'families and carers affected by the drug and alcohol use of someone close resource'
manual provides an introduction, to the “Families and Carers affected by
the drug or alcohol use of someone close” resource. It provides opportunities
for self-reflection and an examination of attitudes towards working with families
with drug and alcohol issues.
Register of Australian Drug and Alcohol Research (RADAR)
The register contains up-to-date records of current and recently completed research projects with details of published research. There is also information about researchers, their organisations and research funding bodies
National Tobacco Strategy
The National Tobacco Strategy 2004-2009 is a policy framework for the Australian Government and State and Territory Governments to work together and in collaboration with non-government agencies to improve health and to reduce the social costs caused by tobacco.
