Services

Services for Off-Campus Users  -  Requesting Items for External Users
Registered UNSW staff and postgraduate off-campus users can request  the loan of books and the supply of journal articles held by UNSW Library and other Libraries. Registration is required.

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) - Requesting materials NOT HELD in UNSW library
The Interlibrary Loans Unit obtains materials not held in the UNSW Library to support the study, research and teaching programs of the academic staff and postgraduate students. Items can be obtained from both local and overseas sources.
Registration is required for new users. 
Shortly after the registration, a ILL password will be sent to your UNSW email. Registered users can request materials via the Online ILL Users Request Form.
Reciprocal Borrowing (ULA)
A national borrowing scheme that allows all current staff and students of the Australian Vice Chancellors' committee (AVCC) member universities to borrow from any other member university in Australia. For further details on how to register for Reciprocal Borrowing .
Library Resources 
A UniPass is required to access all UNSW Library resources including the LRD, MyCourse, Sirius and SFX. Contact Disconnect for help with UniPass. n.b. once UniPass is provided please link and complete 'agree to the rules' conditions of use.  These systems/resources work best with the appropriate settings and access requirements. You may need to adjust the settings on your computer according to this information.

  These subject guides have been prepared by Library staff to support learning, teaching and research within the UNSW Faculty of Medicine. 
Alert Services
  Alerting Services, also known as SDIs (Selective Dissemination of Information), allow you to keep up to date with the latest research and literature in your field of study. They are particularly useful to staff and postgraduate or final year students who are engaged in ongoing research and need to follow developments in their discipline.
Referencing
Online illustrations of appropriate documentation style using the APA (American Psychological Association)  referencing style.
Endnote
EndNote is bibliographic software that allows you to store, organise and manage your references in a database (called an EndNote library). These references can be linked to your word processing documents to instantly create in-text citations and bibliographies in the referencing style that you require.
Online Training
Online resource help sheets and tutorials are available from the 'how to use' menu option including helpsheets for the Library Resource Database (LRD), Sirius and Medline.
