About Tutorial
This Information Skills tutorial was first launched in 2002 to address the information needs of first year biology students. It aims to teach students the basic information skills which forms part of the UNSW Graduate Attribute of Information Literacy (ability to identify, define and analyse information needs, and, retrieve relevant and appropriate information).

In 2003, the tutorial was accepted into the Internet Education Project (IEP), a database of exemplary online instruction materials. IEP is maintained by the Instruction Section of the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL), a division of the American Library Association (ALA).

The tutorial continues to be revised and updated throughout the year to make it relevant and easy to use. We welcome your comments and feedback.
