interactive guide for all those students who come to the Law Library and say "I'm not a law student but…."

This page is for UNSW students who are doing a law subject as part of a degree in another field. When you have completed it, you will have the research skills to undertake the essay or problem exercise in your law subject. Then you may print out the Assignment Checklist to guide you through your assignment.

This page may also be useful to beginning law students who have not yet done any of the legal research subjects that are a part of their degree. To navigate this page, follow the red arrows and use your browser's back button to return or click on the headings on the side menu bar. Before you start, let's test your understanding of the Australian legal system and sources of law.
