And the very beginning is: the Law Library Homepage. Have a quick look around and follow some of the links from the menu bar on the left hand side of the page.

Welcome back!
Some things that you might have noticed:

• The Subject Guides - if there is one on your subject, it could save you a lot of time and effort,
• the Guide to Legal Research Materials - this was written for Law students. It provides much more detail than these notes,
• Legal Databases - provides a brief description of the range of legal databases which you can then access via Sirius,
• The Library Resources Database (the catalogue).

The Guide and the Legal Databases provide starting points for research in other jurisdictions. This Teach Yourself guide covers Australian law.
