Library Executive Andrew Wells, University Librarian Andrew Wells has worked at senior levels in university,state and national libraries in Australia. From 1996 to 2001, he worked at the National Library of Australia as Assistant Director-General, Resource Sharing Division. During this period, he directed the successful implementation of Kinetica (formerly Australian Bibliographic Network). He has held senior positions at the State Library of New South Wales and was the Deputy Head Cataloguer at UNSW in the mid 1980's. Andrew has been active in the library profession over many years, contributing to many advisory and policy committees including the ABN Standards Committee, the Australian Committee on Cataloguing and the National Resource Sharing Policy Group. Andrew holds a BSc (University of Queensland) and an MA (Macquarie University).Andrew is also on the Executive of the Council of Australian University Librarians (CAUL). Howard Amos, Deputy University Librarian Although a qualified Librarian, Howard Amos has spent most of his career in the IT community working for library software vendors and in the telecommunications sector. Prior to joining the University of NSW Library Howard held a number of positions with a global telecommunications company and worked at the State Library of NSW between 1992 and 1999. While at the State Library Howard was responsible for the development of the ILANET network that introduced the first Internet based network for libraries outside of the academic sector and also the establishment of NSW.net. Howard has 20 years experience in library automation, telecommunications and digital library services. Howard joined UNSW Library in 2005 as Director of Library IT and is leading the challenge to align resources with the needs of the digital environment. Howard holds a BA (University of Canterbury) and a DipIM (UNSW). He is an associate member of the Australian Computer Society. Lyn Bosanquet, Director Information Services Department Lyn Bosanquet has held various senior sales and marketing roles providing products and services to the information and library sectors. These roles have included National Sales roles with Elsevier, the largest world wide STM publisher, Geac Computers, a supplier of high end application software, and Baker & Taylor, the largest US book distributor. Lyn commenced her position of Director, Information Resources in 2005. Lyn brings a solid understanding of information content and its delivery to UNSW. Lyn holds a holds a Grad Dip in Library Science (KCAE) and an M.A. in Linguistics (USyd). Janet Fletcher, Director Information Resources Janet began her tertiary library career as reference librarian at James Cook University Cairns. In1998-2002 she was the network services librarian at Southern Cross University and most recently she was manager of Information Access, Macquarie University 2002-2006. Janet commenced her position as Director Information Resources UNSW in December 2006. Over the years Janet has established a wealth of experience in providing innovative library services with an excellent record in staff management and a strong focus on customer service. Janet holds a BEd, Secondary (UMelb) and a MSc (Edith Cowan). Contacts & Location
