British Geological Society (BGS)
 
BGS is the world's longest established national geological survey and the United Kingdom's premier centre for earth science information and expertise.
  BUBL
  BUBL is a searchable database of web resources which are of academic relevance. Information is organised by Dewey Decimal Classification and browsable by subject. UK based.
 Geoscience Australia
  Geoscience Australia is the national agency for geoscience research and geospatial information. This site has the 1:250 00 geology maps as well as a geoscience portal.
U.S. Geological Survey (USGS)
  The USGS serves the United States by "providing reliable scientific information to describe and understand the Earth; minimise the loss of life and property from natural disasters; manage water, biological, energy, and mineral resources". This site has a large number of links that reflect this statement including information on maps, earthquakes and volcanoes.
