How to ... Using Sirius

 3 | Finding Resources
The first step when using Sirius is to select a resource or list of resources which covers your subject area. For example you may want to find the database Factiva or Econlit, or get a list of resources which cover the subject area of business & economics.
To access the resources section in Sirius click the find resource tab from the top left hand side of the Sirius screen. There are several ways to find resources. These include:
Titles: Use this option if you know the name of the resource you are looking for e.g. Factiva or Econlit
Locate: Use this option to search for a particular type of resource e.g. ebooks only or databases only
Category: Use this option to get a list of resources in a particular subject area e.g. business & economics

Once selected your Resource List will be displayed.

Click on the name of the resource to get access.
Click the I icon to get more information about the resource.
Click the Plus icon to add to the My Resources clipboard. more about My Resources
The magnifying glass icon indicates the resource can be searched using MetaSearch. more about MetaSearch
 
The full text icon indicates the resource contains full text. Full text gives access to the actual articles.
The trial icon indicates the resource is on trial.
The map of australia icon indications the resource is Australian based material.
The new icon indicates the resource has recently been added to the collection.
 
Important Note: Click the Status Reports link at the top of the screen to report a problem with access to any of the resources. This page also lists problems which have already been reported.
