Finding Australian theses

Proquest Digital Dissertations and Theses

In advanced search change pull down menu to School Name/Code then click on link Browse schools. Browse the list and add university to search query. Browsing is preferred as standard form of university name will be used in search.

UNSWorks/ADT

ADT and UNSWorks have combined to increase the exposure of UNSW research by making it available globally, free of charge. ADT is a distributed database of digital versions of theses produced by postgraduate research students across all Australian universities. UNSWorks is an online institutional repository of UNSW research output.

The national database has holdings for all Australian libraries. Search by topic and tick thesis box to limit results to theses.

Proquest Digital Dissertations and Theses
	The database includes more than 1.8 million records with more than 600,000 are available in native or image PDF formats for immediate free download.
Index to theses
	Lists theses accepted for higher degrees by the universities of Great Britain and Ireland. This database includes British theses submitted from 1776 onwards.
Use -it guide from University of Queensland
	Links to theses around the world.
Links to worldwide library catalogs
	Search various catalogues. May need to search using keyword dissertation rather than thesis.

Interlibrary Loan
	Use to request purchase of theses which are not available electronically. Where applicable include a UMI order number from Proquest Digital Dissertations and Theses or D number for a British thesis.
