Services for People with Disabilities

The Library provides the following services to registered users with disabilities:

  • access to Disabilities Resource Room
  • photocopying assistance
  • individual Library tours
  • assistance with retrieving library items from the shelves
  • assistance with using Library resources. E.g. Catalogue, Sirius, Electronic journals/database
  • access to Resting Room
  • students must register with the Student Equity and Disabilities Unit for these services
  • Library service request form
Ask at the Loans & Information Desk for information regarding these services.

Resource Room (Authorised Access Only)

The Resource Room is located on Level 2 of the Kensington Library. Students must register with the Student Equity and Disabilities Unit to gain access to the room. Others users with disabilities who require access to the room must contact the Student Equity and Disabilities Unit

All equipment in this room is managed and serviced by the Student Equity and Disabilities Unit.

Equipment includes:

  • computers, printer and scanner with large print display monitors and accessories
  • a telephone for internal calls
  • ergonomic desks and chairs
  • a workbench
  • access to the resting room
  • lockers
Accessible Toilets

Are located on:

  • Level 2 (male and female)
  • Level 4 (female)
  • Level 5 (male)
Ramp access to Library Level 2
