MyCourse (Reserve) & Multimedia Collection
The collection includes:
- Course-related, high demand materials;
- study kits;
- exam papers - in electronic form available through My Course@UNSW Library;
- music on CD and LP;
- DVDs, videos and other audiovisual materials.
Academic staff can submit course-related, high demand materials into the MyCourse (Reserve) collection.

Finding items
Borrowing
The MyCourse (Reserve) and Multimedia collections can be borrowed by UNSW staff and students only.
- Borrowing from the MyCourse (Reserve) and Multimedia collection ceases 15 minutes before the Library closes;
- all items must be returned through the chute at the MyCourse (Reserve) and Multimedia collection Desk;
- Conditions of loan, fines and penalties and the Library Rules apply to borrowing and use of items and equipment;
- Only 2 items can be borrowed at one time.
MyCourse (Reserve) collection items:
- UNSW staff and students may borrow two MyCourse (Reserve) items at a time;
- some items may be borrowed overnight - this can be arranged at the MyCourse (Reserve) and Multimedia Desk one hour before the Library closes;
- items in the MyCourse (Reserve) collection have differing loan periods.
Multimedia items:
- UNSW students can borrow teaching collection videos for two hours to be viewed in the Library only. With Lecturer's permission, UNSW students can borrow teaching collection videos for class presentations. Contact the Multimedia service for details;
- UNSW staff can borrow teaching collection videos for five working days. Contact the Multimedia Service to make an advanced booking or via the online request form;
- Only 1 video can be borrowed at one time.
Multimedia - Watching and listening
- Video players, TVs, DVD players, and music stations can be booked for 2 hours at the MyCourse (Reserve) and Multimedia Desk;
- cassette players do NOT need to be booked;
- Any copying on this equipment should be in accordance with the requirements of the Copyright Act 1968.
