Library Units

Information Services Department
Information Services is responsible for the development and delivery of services that assist our community in achieving their goals.
Information Resources Department Information Resources Department is a flexible, professional unit that builds, maintains and enables access to the diverse collections which support the learning, teaching & research needs of the University. It is divided into separate Units:
The Physical Resources Unit  is responsible for the ordering, receipting, cataloguing, end processing and binding of all print material.
The Electronic Resources Unit  is responsible for access and maintenance to the Library's online resources. The Unit is also responsible for the development and implementation of online programs supporting access to these resources.
The Document Services Unit  works to both lend UNSW Library material to other libraries and organisations and borrow resources from other libraries that are not held by the UNSW Library.
Vendor Services & Finances Unit maintains and develops the Library relationship with vendors. This includes contract and license negotiations and approvals and ensuring the Library meets its commitments in terms of expenditure and management of its collection budget.
Project Unit is responsible to plan, manage and execute any special project required by IRD and work to support other teams by completing specific tasks and projects.
Rare Books and Special Collections is responsible for the storage, display, preservation, access and associated services for rare books and special collections in the UNSW Library.
Digital Library Innovation and Development
Digital Library Innovation and Development plans and designs systems to manage the University's scholarly information assets.
Library Executive
University Librarian, Deputy University Librarian, Director Information Services, Director Information Resources.
Client Services Unit The Client Services Unit provides Circulation and Reserve services.
