Access to Library resources from computers outside UNSW Library


Access Requirements

If you are accessing Library resources from offices on campus, or accessing from home or workplace outside the campus, you may need to adjust your computer settings to meet the settings specified in the UNSW Library Access Requirements page.

Passwords

When you attempt to access UNSW Library electronic resources from a computer via a non-UNSW Internet Service Provider, a current and activated staff/student number and Unipass may be required to access the resources.

If you are a new student or staff member, a Unipass will be given to at the time of enrolment or on commencement of employment at UNSW. You will need to activate your Unipass before you are able to access the Library resources. Please see the instructions on the IT Service Unit's DisConnect webpage.

For any other queries relating to your Unipass, please see the DisConnect website or drop in to the IT Service Desk on Level 2 of the Library.

Troubleshooting

If you have problems accessing the resources from the Library, please check the Electronic Status Reports for the latest information regarding access problems to Library electronic resources.

Alternatively, you can report your access problem online. You will receive a response to your enquiry within 24 hours.
