Enabling Javascript Instructions
To use UNSW Library systems and access many electronic resources provided by publishers you must have javascript enabled on your computer.
Windows IE 7, 6.x and 5.x
- Go to Tools on the menu bar
- Pick Internet Options
- Click the Security tab
- Select the internet icon
- Select the "Custom Level" button
- In the new window that pops up, scroll down to the category "Scripting" the first item reads "Active Scripting".
- Select the option marked "Enable".
- Click on the "Ok" button at the bottom of the Security Settings window.
- Click on the "Ok" button at the bottom of the Internet Options window.
Firefox 2.x
- From the browser menu bar
- Click on 'Tools'
- Select 'Options' from drop down menu
- Click on the 'Content' icon
- Check the Enable Javascript check box
- Click the OK Button
Safari (Mac OSX)
- Select 'Preferences' from the Safari drop down menu
- Click 'Security'
- Check Enable Javascript
- Close the Preferences window
- Click the Reload button in the browser
Netscape 7.x and 6.x and 4.x
- Click Edit on the Toolbar.
- Click Preferences
- Click on the "Advanced" label on the left hand side of the Preferences window that pops up.
- On the right hand side select the checkbox marked "Enable Javascript for Navigator" or "Enable Javascript".
- Click on the "Ok" button at the bottom of the Preferences window.
